Keiko Pose Pack @ Kirin

I bought new poses for the first time in months. For the most part I’ve been using my ancient poses from Torridwear and LAP – both creators that haven’t been active in Second Life for years – in my blog entries.

I’ve been reading Carolina Sautereau’s blog for years. Apart from a great blogger she is also a creator and has a store called Kirin. She makes poses.

Just like every Friday I took a look at all the stores that participate in the Fifty Linden Friday Event. Kirin had the Keiko Pose Pack out. For 50 L$ you get six very nice poses.

Kirin is a store that I will definitely visit again in the future when I need new poses.

My necklace and my hair are also Fifty Linden Friday items. I almost bought the Jasmine hair from Wasabi Pills a few days ago. I’m glad that I didn’t because I saved a lot of money.

P.S.: I will credit poses from now on. Our blog entries would be very boring if it weren’t for all those pose creators.

Sweet Kajira

 Sweet Kajira: Zipi, Bryana

When I returned to Second Life I was worried that the game was dying, but I’ve discovered so many new (to me) stores since I’ve returned, and I’m having a lot of fun.

Today I went to Sweet Kajira. The two yellow dresses I’m wearing in today’s blog post were on sale, and since they were really cheap I bought them.

I had a bit of a problem with Bryana (the long dress). It didn’t contain an alpha file so that parts of my avatar’s body were sticking through the dress. That was easily fixed by taking the alpha file of another dress however.

I’ve also experimented with my Windlight settings, and I think my pictures look better than before. What do you think?

Sweet Lies Designs

Sweet Lies Designs: Regina (Totally Top Shelf), Ludmila

I visited the Totally Top Shelf event today. This event mostly has fantasy clothes, hair, accessories etc. I discovered a new store there – Sweet Lies Designs. They had a gacha machine at the event where you could get different versions of the Regina dress for 50 L$.

I used the machine once and liked the dress so much that I immediately teleported to their mainstore where they had a few more gacha machines. The other dresses I’m wearing all cost 30 L$. The belt I’m wearing with the Melisandre dress is a rare that you can get from the same machine.

Sweet Lies Designs also has clothes that you don’t have to get from a gacha machine. Those are a little more expensive (around 100 L$, if I remember correctly), but still quite affordable. If you like fantasy clothes, Sweet Lies Designs is a store that you should visit!

I also got a pack of lipsticks from Nova at the Totally Top Shelf event. There are nine different lipsticks, each in two sizes, in it. You get tattoo layer lipsticks as well as applies for Loud Mouth and other mesh mouths.

Mesh Alpha Lashes @ Izzie’s

I’ve hardly ever worn prim or mesh lashes because I have a hard time making them fit. Instead I’ve used tattoo layer lashes (or even worse, no lashes) – until now. Izzie’s is offering mesh lashes for the current round of the MIX Event.

They cost 279 L$. At first I thought that was a little expensive for a pair of mesh lashes, but then I took a closer look and realized that they come with a HUD that lets you combine eight upper lash and five lower lash textures.

So you really get 40 pairs of lashes for that price which is quite a bargain. A demo is also available. A system eyelash remover is also part of the package.

I still had a hard time fitting the lashes (and I’m not sure if I managed it perfectly, I’m clumsy when it comes to such things), but I liked the lashes too much to not give it a try.

I’m wearing Izzie’s mesh lashes in the picture above. In the picture below the SLURL you can see my avatar without lashes. Quite a difference, isn’t it?
