katat0nik has a new outfit up for Fifty Linden Friday!

There is a new release at Blue Blood: Spoiled Doll in Combined Colors! The dress comes with a long skirt and socks as well, but I didn’t particularly like the long skirt. I love this one though!  The red/blue version is definitely my favourite, even though it looks a little as if my female avatar is too late for a 4th of July celebration!

It’s been a while. A few months in fact. I got heavily involved in a play by post game earlier this year (I’m even a mod in it now – what can I say, I’m a RPG addict), and that’s occupied pretty much all of my online time. Since I have summer holidays now (which means three months without uni) I’ve decided to check Second Life out again, see what has changed and if there are any interesting new releases.

I found a new skin for my avatar! Ash from the body co is pretty much perfect. I’ve never seen a skin that suited my shape so well. I immediately bought it. I also visited Sweetest Goodbye. There is a sale now. Apparently the store is closing which makes me a little sad. So many designers seem to have disappeared since I last visited SL. And Achariya (my favourite blogger) has stopped blogging. Is it just me or is SL a little emptier?

March Mint Madness has started! All the items there cost under 130 L$. The shirt that my avatar is wearing was 50 L$. I’m also wearing relatively new tattoos from HUZ and really ancient shoes from Shiny Things. I think they were among the first shoes I ever bought in SL!

Today I was a little annoyed at the lack of interesting clothes for men on iheartsl (I usually check that feed before I log into SL), so I did what I always do in such a situation – I buy clothes for women that aren’t too feminine. In this case my avatar is wearing a jacket from LeLutka.

Skin Fair started yesterday. As a blogger I had the opportunity to check it out before the masses arrived. The only skin that really suited my shape was the new Pout from Curio. When I checked Curio’s booth out, Gala Phoenix happened to be there. I bought a skin for 1.000 L$ and noticed that there seemed to be something missing from the folder. When I pointed that out to Gala, she thanked me and gave me a folder with all the makeups in the Bean tone. I’ve met creators that acted as if they didn’t really want to have customers. Gala on the other hand was really friendly!

I also discovered a new to me store – La Femme. There are a few nice dresses there. The creator obviously has talent. Unfortunately La Femme is closing – I can only make assumptions as to why – and everything costs 25 L$ now.
